Virtual Aš is a modern project for the promotion of tourism in the West Bohemian town of Aš. Using augmented reality it allows town visitors to explore the long-ago burned Protestant church in its original form. We have created a mobile app for this project, as well as a responsive webpage full of useful information.
The webpage is adapted for use on mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers.
We managed to prepare the webpage, including graphics, in less than a week.
Due to the technology used, it’s easy to add new language versions of the site.
The Virtual Aš mobile application is used by the Aš visitor at the moment they find themselves on the site and wish to view the 3D model of the burnt Evangelical church. The website that supports the application will therefore be frequently visited on mobile phones and tablets. So we had to count on it and design the entire site so it looks good on these devices and is easy to use.
VIRTUAL REALITY
- 3D
Since the website serves as support for a mobile application, there is quite little content on it. So we then decided to use the advanced one-page design, which naturally leads the visitor through the site content without unnecessary clicks.
SINGLE PAGE
- WEB SUPPORT
When developing the website we used the Middleman framework, which significantly speeds up the development of static websites supporting language mutations, necessary for the tourist site. The entire site is fully responsive – easy to use on mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers. We’re ready to hand over the website within a week from the beginning of development.
RESPONSIBILITY
- FRAMEWORK MIDDLEMAN
The Virtual Aš website project serves primarily as support for an eponymous mobile app. Visitors will find information about the project and ways to download the application. The website is built on a fresh one-page design and works equally well on mobiles, tablets and PCs.
