iVysílaní – Public broadcasting for everyone

Getting closer to the public and ensuring the best user experience. That is what we helped Czech Television to do. They set up their goal to completely modernize the iVysílání service. The viewers of the most watched television lived to see a new mobile application to watch their favorite programs from online video archives on all digital devices.

Searching one’s favorite program easily and watching it uninterrupted? That is something that the iVysílání viewers could previously not do. Their frustration from the unstable application with the unpredictable player and frequent falls of the application was growing - as well as the negative rating. The time came to persuade them that they can have a functional platform that will be a joy to use.

We replaced the previous player and other elements with native ones. Thanks to that, Czech Television can now offer users a reliable application that provides a great experience browsing and watching programs on all devices. All this with maximum focus on long-term and sustainable technological solutions.

Thanks to the modernization of iVysílání, viewers of Czech Television now have applications at their disposal that offer not only the programs from the archive and live broadcasting but also the streaming and mirroring of selected content via AirPlay and Chromecast. We dedicated special attention to working with video player and adjustments for tablets where users can find expanded functionalities compared to mobile devices.
