Why is it not as easy to order bicycle repair as to order a taxi or food? This question has been on the mind of Pavel Čabelický, a former rider and mechanic of the Czech national team who decided to fill the gap in the Czech bicycle market. His vision was to create a new standard: make the bicycle maintenance as easy as possible for the customers and at the same time improve the contract planning and capacity planning for repair shops. And all that under a brand new brand that is supposed to replace the current brand of the client.

Our first task was to prepare branding with a universal logotype. After that we developed a mobile application through which the customer can order bicycle repair in a workshop, at his or her home or directly on the street where it will be taken care of by a special service vehicle. And finally, we connected the application to an administrative interface for well arranged planning of service capacities.
Before the development itself, it was necessary to decide whether the application should be a continuation of the current renown brand of Pavel Čabelický or whether we should go our own way. In the end, we agreed on a new brand that offered wider possibilities of use and a potential to replace all activities that have until now been connected with the Cabtech Cycling brand in the future.
The logo needed to be simple, easy to understand and universal, so that it could be used in the mobile application, on the website as well as for sponsoring. That is why we invested a lot of effort into the typography and created a playful symbol that fulfills these requirements and at the same time mirrors the main values of Kolofix. At the same time we managed to avoid the classical bicycle clichés such as bicycle, handlebar or spanner icons.
